presentations

There is no substitute for a spoken story.

They carry a kind of power that ripples far beyond the present moment. They offer the audience something to hold on to. They stick in ways the written word never will. And they are my favorite way to inspire the world to share a story that matters, that moves the needle, that makes things better than they’ve been.

And so from keynotes to breakouts, from small seminars to a packed house, there are very few topics I won’t tackle and very few places I won’t go to help you and your team do what it takes to share the sort of story that makes you proud.

Want to know more about the sort of stories I love to share?

First, a few words about my work in the world of wellness…

This is where the whole shebang began - I gave a TEDx talk about finding a new way to belong in our bodies and BAM! The next thing I knew, I was being invited into all sorts of spaces to offer a new way to understand wellness. To this day, talking about what keeps us well is one of my favorite things to share. A few of those specific topics can be found below:

  • Yes, it’s a real thing! Yes, it produces better outcomes. Yes, it will change your life! Inquire here to find out more.

  • An intro to what it means to learn how to trust yourself WITH yourself.

  • An exploration of the ways we can use movement to help us come home to ourselves.

But then I started to think about our workplaces, too…

And if there’s one place where we need to expand our understanding of what keeps us well, it’s definitely in the workplace.

So, that’s what I started to do. I started to share stories that make our workplaces better places to be. Some of those topics are listed below:

  • Together we’ll center a framework for measurable action that creates real change around DEIB initiatives.

  • Want something better than spa days when it comes to self care? Super! I’ve got plenty of stories to make self care sustainable for your team.

  • Yes, I promise to keep everyone clothed; but I also promise to invite you and your team to become “leaders without layers,” the kind that can create a workplace that centers radical authenticity. This one is a fan-favorite!

  • Dave Breen, President/CEO Special Olympics Illinois

“I am happy to provide an extremely positive referral for Sarah Stevens and her Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging work with Special Olympics Illinois. Sarah has gotten to know Special Olympics Illinois and our culture along with our team in a very short time. I believe her presenting and leadership skills and outlook are tremendous. The enthusiasm I have for Sarah is centered on her outcome based vision and results for DEIB work and making sure it moves the needle tied to business results.”

  • Chris Caves - Coordinator, TEDx

“I co-coordinate a local TEDx event in Davenport, Iowa. This past March, Sarah Stevens was a speaker on our stage. She brought the house down! Sarah not only has a powerful message about body image, acceptance, and courage, but she delivers that message with oratory expertise of a classically trained philosopher and speaker.”

  • Kim Rojas - Bettendorf High School

"Not many people can stand in front of 600 teenage girls and hold their attention for an entire presentation, yet for Sarah this seemed as natural as if she were having a conversation with a good friend. Not only did she make the content engaging and relevant to her young audience, but the delivery was heart-felt, authentic, and captivating.”

  • Alex Dirk, ARA Rental

“Sarah’s weight-neutrality wellness presentation fluctuated between humor and sobering sincerity. She lured us in with her warmth and authenticity. A natural storyteller, she purely shares her experience, unguarded. The topic was a new concept for many in the audience, and Sarah left them in prolonged thought.”
